I am the face of the childhood obesity epidemic.
There were rare circumstances in my youth when I was considered to be a "healthy" weight.

As a result of this, when I started to develop thyroid issues, I did not know there was something wrong with me.

I found myself Googling non-stop about what a person should feel like.

I knew something was wrong, but my disorder came on so gradually, combined with the fact I had always been overweight and unhealthy, caused me to wait way too long for a diagnosis.

When I finally got the call, I was shocked and relieved. I knew it must have been going on for a long time.

There are no resources for people who need to know how a healthy person should feel. In this blog, I hope to explore what it means to truly be healthy, because there are a lot of kids growing up feeling the same way I did.
